The history and culture of Waikīkī are woven throughout the architecture of the newly reimagined International Market Place with its flowing water features, lush landscaping and iconic banyan tree that is more than a century old.

505Design was responsible for the overall design, They found a balance between memory and prophecy, a way to embrace the rich heritage of the site while translating those qualities in a fresh, contemporary way that resonates with the iconic past of the place.

They opted for the Bover Barcelona Amphora to illuminate this beautiful space. The Bover Outdoor collection products are ideal for this type of project since they have characteristics that allow them to adapt to very demanding atmospheric conditions.

The AMPHORA collection has been designed to create a warm environment especially in outdoors. However, thanks to its highly decorative look, the Amphoras can equally be placed both in outdoor and indoor.

The size and shape of this collection pay a subtle and discreet homage to the terracotta amphora formerly used for gardens and terraces decoration. In this collection, we have used a synthetic wicker to make up big handmade baskets as shades with a tripod foot subjected to a cataphoresis treatment. The light source is located inside the polyethylene ellipse which grants its water tightness. The light emitted by the Amphora collection is full of nuances and shapes avoiding dazzling.
